Terms of Service

1. Using Come to Serve

Come to Serve is a community service platform that connects people who need help with individuals and organizations willing to serve. You may use the Service to request help, offer help, volunteer, discover organizations, and manage organization profiles. You agree to use the Service only for lawful, good-faith community service purposes.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old to create an account. Families may serve together under a parent or guardian’s supervision.

3. Content You Share

You are responsible for the information you submit. When requesting help, you confirm that you are authorized to share the details you provide. When publishing organization content, you confirm it is accurate and that you are authorized to represent the organization. Come to Serve reviews and moderates content for community safety and may remove or reject content that violates these Terms.

4. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

5. Connections and Messaging

Come to Serve helps create connections between requesters and helpers. Once you accept an offer or response, you may exchange contact details and messages within that connection. You are responsible for your interactions with other users and for exercising good judgment when sharing personal information.

6. Organizations and Verification

Organization profiles may be created from public information and remain unverified until claimed and reviewed. Claiming an organization, paying for a plan, or posting opportunities does not automatically grant verified or Catholic Partner status. Verification and Catholic Partner approval are separate trust processes managed by Come to Serve.

7. Paid Plans

Some plans are available for a fee. Paid subscriptions are billed through our payment provider. You may manage or cancel a paid subscription through the billing portal. Free plans remain available for individuals and qualifying organizations.

8. Prohibited Conduct

• Submitting false, misleading, or fraudulent requests or offers.
• Harassing, threatening, or harming other users.
• Using the Service for commercial solicitation unrelated to community service.
• Attempting to access private data or bypass security controls.
• Impersonating another person or organization.

9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Come to Serve is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that a request will be fulfilled or that an opportunity will be matched. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Come to Serve is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or interactions with other users.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms here with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
